Popcorn Flicks are typically scheduled at 7PM or 8PM\, but may not start until sunset to provide an optimal viewing experience for our guests. \n\n\nThese outdoor screenings are dependent upon Florida’s famously unpredictable weather conditions. SUMMARY:Ocoee’s Veterans Day Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The city is honored to have Retired Marine Corps Maj. Barron Mills as our keynote speaker. Having grown up as the son of a career Army officer\, and then serving in the Marine Corps himself for 20 years\, Maj. Mills has been on five continents and to dozens of countries. His prior experiences include leading Marines on missions in the Mediterranean\, Haiti\, Cuba\, Iraq and Afghanistan.  The Ocoee Middle School Wind Ensemble will play a medley of songs. The Ocoee Police Department and Fire Department Honor Guard will present the colors and carry a wreath to be set in place at the city’s Memorial Wall and an Ocoee High School Band member will play “Taps”. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

DESCRIPTION:Spring Community Closet Clean Out is coming up Saturday\, April 27th!  Light Orlando\, in partnership with 30 Orange County charities\, is collecting gently used clothes\, belts\, shoes and accessories in addition to new bras\, underwear\, socks\, diapers and wipes\, to help charities throughout Orange County.  On April 27\, 2024\, residents of Orange County will gather with their donations in the gym of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3001 S Apopka Vineland Road in Orlando from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to sort the donations to pass along to over 30 charities in the County.  Boxes for donations are located throughout the county.  Please click the link to find locations or to host a drop-off box.  This is the fourth year this community event has come together to help so many of our of County charities.
