Ocoee Fire Department to Host Open House 100-Year Anniversary Celebration

OCOEE, Fla.– The Ocoee Fire Department and the Citizens Advisory Council for the Ocoee Fire Department (CACOFD) will hold its 100-Year Anniversary Open House Celebration on Saturday, November 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 25 located at 563 South Bluford Avenue.

Fire Station 25 will be open to the public, giving residents the opportunity to meet firefighters and tour the fire station. The event will feature a variety of fun activities, music, free food, and giveaways. The menu will include hot dogs, chips, sodas, popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones. There will be face painting, three bounce houses, a dunk tank, antique fire trucks, vehicle extrication, and door prizes. Highlights include giving children an opportunity to hold a fire hose with a firefighter, spray jets of water, and meet “Sparky the Fire Pup”.

Parking will be located at Ocoee Elementary, and the Ocoee Fire Department will have a city bus to shuttle citizens to the event. Accessible parking will be provided at the Top Gun All Stars parking lot located at 631 South Bluford Avenue. Drivers should follow parking signs and check in with staff.
